Currently, she is Director of the Radiation Oncology Service at the Viamed Hospital in Tarragona – Mercurius Health and the Sant Joan University Hospital in Reus. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Director of the Radiation Oncology Research Group of the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute. Trustee of the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). Member of the College of Metges of Tarragona (COMT). His main line of research is the identification of molecular biomarkers based on energy metabolism, oxidative stress and the immune system in breast cancer, as well as the radiobiological basis of radiotherapy at low doses.
Assistant Physician of the Radiation Oncology Service Viamed Tarragona Hospital – Mercurius Health PhD student in Medicine, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) Researcher in training at the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute (IISPV) ORCID: 0009-0001-0808-2552 Specialist in radiation oncology. He obtained his medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 2016 and completed his specialized training at the Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus (HUSJR) in 2024, Tarragona, Spain. She is certified as a supervisor and operator of radioactive facilities by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council. He has carried out training stays in centers of international prestige, such as the Greater Poland Cancer Center (brachytherapy) and the New York Proton Center (proton therapy). He has also expanded his experience in paediatric oncology at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. He is an active member of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR), the Catalan-Balearic Society of Oncology (SCBO) and the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO). He has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences. She has been awarded several scholarships, such as the Olga Acebes Scholarship (2024) and a scholarship from the College of Physicians of Tarragona for her international scientific activity. Author and co-author of scientific articles in indexed journals and a book chapter. He actively participates in research projects in radiation oncology. She currently works as an assistant physician in the Radiation Oncology Service of the Viamed Tarragona Hospital – Mercurius Health. She is a PhD student at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and a beneficiary of the Junior Clinical Fellowship of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), with a research project on prostate cancer that is being developed at the IISPV and the HUSJR.
